Description

I recently encountered a problem with Microsoft Outlook 2010 intermittently not being able to send email along with an error message "0x800CCCDD". When the error message is dismissed, the connection reestablished and email is sent.

After looking around on the internet I found a number of possible solutions, however the one that worked for me was using the scanpst.exe application and scanning each .pst file.

  • Open the scanpst.exe application by opening a file explorer then go to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\SCANPST.EXE
