While I was doing some traveling, I decided to use my phone for navigation using OsmAnd. However, when I opened the app I did not get a lock from any of the GPS satellites. While browsing around I found an app that fixed the problem for me, called FasterFix; +*root* is required+. How I fixed it was:
# Download and install FasterFix
# Open FasterFix and allow temporary root access (10min.)
# Select North America from the pull-down menu
# Tap Go
This fixed my GPS problem.
*UPDATE 1*: I updated my ROM to a newer version and some how broke the FasterFix workaround. However I found another app that fixed the issue, called GPS Test. Once installed I opened up +Menu -> Update AGPS+
