Description

This is a guide for setting up a deluge-web seed box on Debian.

Prepare the Environment

  • Make sure the system is up to date:
    sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade
    

Install Deluge

  • Install deluge:
    sudo apt install deluged deluge-web
    
  • Edit the deluge defaults config:
    sudo nano /etc/default/deluged
    
    • And modify the following:
      ENABLE_DELUGED=1
      
  • Start and enable deluge at boot:
    sudo systemctl enable deluged
    sudo systemctl start deluged
    
  • Create a deluge-web systemd unit:
    sudo nano /etc/systemd/system/deluge-web.service
    
    • And add the following:
      [Unit]
      Description=Deluge Web UI
      After=deluged.service
      
      [Service]
      ExecStart=/usr/bin/deluge-web -d
      
      [Install]
      WantedBy=default.target
      
  • Edit the deluge config:
    sudo nano /var/lib/deluged/config/core.conf
    
    • And modify the following:
      "allow_remote": True,
      
  • Start and enable deluge-web at boot:
    sudo systemctl daemon-reload
    sudo systemctl restart deluged
    sudo systemctl enable deluge-web
    sudo systemctl start deluge-web
