Bug #916
Cnchi Does Not Open
Description
I tried to launch cnchi on a USB install and received the following error:
Unable to init server: Could not connect: Connection refused Unable to init server: Could not connect: Connection refused 2018-01-07 19:33:07 [WARNING] cnchi.py(232) setup_logging(): No module named 'bugsnag' 2018-01-07 19:33:07 [INFO] cnchi.py(287) check_gtk_version(): Using GTK v3.22.26 2018-01-07 19:33:07 [INFO] cnchi.py(299) check_pyalpm_version(): Using pyalpm v0.8 as interface to libalpm v10.0.2 2018-01-07 19:33:07 [DEBUG] cnchi.py(336) check_iso_version(): Not running from ISO Unable to init server: Could not connect: Connection refused (cnchi.py:3044): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:
This appears to be a common problem. In order to work around this, run:
sudo -E /usr/share/cnchi/bin/cnchi -dv
