WARNING: Doing this is opens a significant hole in your computer's security.

This is how to allow using blank passwords for user accounts over remote desktop on Windows 7.

  1. Click Start -> Run, type gpedit.msc, and then click OK to start the Group Policy Editor.
  2. Open Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\Security Options
  3. Double-click Accounts: Limit local account use of blank passwords to console logon only.
  4. Click Disabled, and then click OK.
  5. Close the Group Policy Editor window.
