Description

I recently put an LG WH14NS40 BluRay Burner in one of my Windows 7 workstations; and while test burning some data I found that the burn speeds were horribly slow, to the point of being unusable.

The program I used for burning was ImgBurn, so I thought the problem may be in the software and I updated it to the newest version. That did not solve the problem though.

After looking online I found that there had been numerous people experiencing the same problem with the LG WH14NS40 1.03-A0. So I suspected that the newer 1.03-A0 firmware may be degrading the performance of some of the LG WH14NS40 drives.

I downloaded the second latest firmware, WH14NS40_A1.02-A0, off of the LG support site and flashed it to the drive. That fixed it!

Now my drive is burning data properly.
